29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Two Story Single Family Frame Home (Exterior Front/Upper Roof): An employee engaged in roofing work (installation of shingles) was exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet above the lower surface and not protected by a personal fall arrest system or any other method of fall protection. The employer did not ensure that an employee engaged in roofing work at approximately 24 feet above the ground surface, with a roof pitch of 8:12, was provided with a personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard, on or about 9/5/19. b) Two Story Single Family Frame Home (Exterior Front/Lower Roof): Employees engaged in roofing work (installation of shingles) were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet above the lower surface and were not protected by a personal fall arrest system or any other method of fall protection. The employer did not ensure that employees engaged in roofing work at approximately 18 feet above the ground surface, with a roof pitch of 8:12, were provided with a personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard, on or about 9/5/19.
