29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Two Story Single Family Frame Home (Exterior Front): Employees engaged in roofing work used an extension ladder to access the upper landing of the roof and the ladder did not extend three feet above the roof's landing. The employer did not ensure that the side rails of extension ladders used by employees extended three feet above the roof's upper landing, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard, on or about 9/5/19.
