Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards while using mobile ladder stands: a. On or before August 8, 2019, the employer did not ensure employees who worked from a mobile ladder stand were protected from falls whiling climbing rungs that were at least 16 inches wide and standing on a platform that was at least 18 inches wide, thereby exposing employees to a 9 foot fall hazard. b. On or before August 8, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees who climbed a mobile ladder stand were protected from falls while climbing rungs of the ladder by providing a slip resistant surface, thereby exposing employees to a 9 foot fall hazard. c. On or before August 8, 2019, the employer did not ensure employees who worked from the platforms of a mobile ladder stand were protected from falls by the use of a midrail, thereby exposing employees to a 9 foot fall hazard.
