29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection plan which meets the requirements of 1926.502(k): a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about March 18, 2019, at 12419 Lone Eagle, Spanish Fort, Alabama, when employees performing framing activities from the top of framed walls without the use of conventional fall protection, are exposed to a fall hazard of up to 12.6 feet to the ground below. b) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about March 18, 2019, at 12419 Lone Eagle, Spanish Fort, Alabama, when employees performing roof decking activities without the use of conventional fall protection, are exposed to a fall hazard of up to 14.6 feet to the ground below.
