29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) For employees working at 4530 Long Branch Lane in Palmetto, as observed on or about March 7, 2019. Employees were using a ladder that did not have the side rails extended a minimum of 3 feet above the upper landing surface. The employees were exposed to a fall height of about 10 feet. Brad McDonald Roofing and Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1207554, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 30, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3965 Aldea Way, Wesley Chapel, Florida.
