Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1960.8(a): The head of each agency shall furnish to each employee employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm. a) On or about 01-18-2019 and times prior thereto, located at FCC Petersburgh, Federal Bureau of Prisons at 1060 River Road Hopewell, VA 23803, at the Unicor Camp Hangar Operation. Condition: An untrained and unsupervised employee was struck by a tractor-trailer that was backing into a loading dock area, while he was cleaning up the area. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
