29 CFR 1910.134(k)(3): The employer shall provide the training prior to requiring the employee to use a respirator in the workplace. a. On or about January 16, 2019, employees were required to wear a NIOSH approved N95 filtering half face, tightfitting respirator while grinding, cutting and polishing granite and quartz in the fabrication area (indoors). The employees had not been trained on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their respirators.
