29 CFR 1926.405(b)(2): All pull boxes, junction boxes, and fittings were not provided with covers: a) At a worksite located 3119 to 3123 (Shankman Building) and 3125-3133 (Michaelson Building), Kansas City, MO 64109: Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. A metal receptacle box was used as a power source for a bench grinder. The box was missing a cover over the receptacles exposing live electrical parts to the work environment, thus increasing the chance of unintentional contact by employees. b) At a worksite located 3119 to 3123 (Shankman Building) and 3125-3133 (Michaelson Building), Kansas City, MO 64109: Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. A junction box had been spliced into with romex wiring to supply power source to a receptacle for a bench grinder. The box was missing a cover exposing live electrical parts to the work environment, thus increasing the chance of unintentional contact by employees. c) At a worksite located 3119 to 3123 (Shankman Building) and 3125-3133 (Michaelson Building), Kansas City, MO 64109: Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. A circuit breaker box located in the basement was missing a cover exposing live electrical parts to the work environment. A splice had been made at the box leading to the first floor, thus increasing the chance of unintentional contact by employees.
