Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.50(c): A person who has a valid certificate in first-aid training was not available at the worksite to render first-aid: The employer is failing to ensure that prompt medical treatment is available in the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the jobsite. This was most recently documented on or about September 15, 2018, at a jobsite located near 60th Avenue and Highway 4, Great Bend, Kansas. Employees were exposed to health hazards in that employees working at the jobsite had not been provided first aid training which resulted in the issuance of a valid certificate in first aid from the US Bureau of Mines, the American Red Cross, of equivalent training body.
