29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1): 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): The employer permitted respirators with tight-fitting facepieces to be worn by employees with facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face. Rolling mill area and main production area; On or about 8/23/18, the employer allowed an employee required to wear a respirator to protect them from mercury, silver, lead and cadmium to wear a tight-fitting air-purifying respirator with facial hair that interfered with the seal between the mask and his face.
