Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): as referenced in 29 CFR 1926.602(d): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): The employer is failing to protect employees from powered industrial truck hazards. This was most recently documented on August 15, 2018, at a worksite located at 916 S. Thompson Avenue, Sedalia, Missouri. The employees were allowed to operate powered industrial trucks without ensuring that the operator is competent and had completed a training and evaluation program to ensure safe operation.
