29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Employees performing roofing work at elevations of six feet or more above the ground are not being protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system: The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on August 9, 2018, when employees performing roofing activities on a 7:12 pitch roof of a house at 2713 Chapman Oaks Drive in Jacksonville Florida were exposed to 10 feet 1 inches fall hazards above lower levels in that they were not protected by a fall protection system. Coastal Roofing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1274593, Repeat citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 31, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 9939 Patriot Court, Jacksonville, Florida. Coastal Roofing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 951792, Repeat citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 4696 Karsten Creek Dr. Lot #326, Jacksonville, Florida. Coastal Roofing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 948481, Repeat citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 4728 Plantation Oaks Blvd., Lot 155, Jacksonville, Florida.
