29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. At the intersection of US Hwy 301 and County Road 525 in Sumterville Florida, employees were exposed to a 6.5 foot fall hazard, in that a ladder used to gain access in and out of the trench at the west wall did not extent three feet above the landing surface, on or about 01/17/2018.
