29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a) On or about December 18, 2017, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling while performing carpentry work from pitched second story roof surfaces and top plates without the benefit of fall protection. b) On or about December 18, 2017, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from second story window/wall openings where the benefit of fall protection was not provided. Delta Carpentry Contractors, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1011825, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 31, 2014, with respect to a worksite located at 1103 Wilson, Palatine, Illinois. Delta Carpentry Contractors, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 957365, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 4, 2014, with respect to a worksite located at 5 N. Acacia Drive, Hawthorn Woods, Illinois. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
