29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: The employer is failing to protect employees from caught-in and struck-by hazards associated with operating and maintaining equipment. This most recently occurred on April 25, 2017 at the facility located at 4200 S. 121st Plaza, Omaha, NE 68137. The employer has employees working on printers, gluers, tippers, and die cutters without properly training them on the standard operating procedures for using lock-out/tag-out to control the release of stored energy.
