29 CFR 1910.332(b)(1): Employees were not trained in and familiar with the safety-related work practices required by 1910.331 through 1910.335 that pertained to their respective job assignments: Western Springs, IL. - On or about April 17, 2017, a motor service technician was required to troubleshoot the circuit elements and electrical parts of the 2,300/2,400 V AC well pump located at 740 Hillgrove Avenue, Western Springs, IL., Pump House, Well No. 3. Employee(s) were not adequately trained in and familiar with safety-related work practices required by 1910.331 through 1910.335 that pertain to their respective job assignments. The employer's electrical safety-related work practice training did not include the following: 1. Prior to performing troubleshooting work on circuit elements and electrical parts always lockout / tagout all electrical power sources in the area of work. 2. Verify that de-energization conditions are in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.333(b)(2)(iii)(D) and (b)(2)(iv)(B). Employee(s) were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with live electrical parts.
