Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.333(b)(2)(iv)(B): Before circuits or equipment was worked as deenergized, a qualified person did not use test equipment to test the circuit elements and electrical parts of equipment to which employees would be exposed and did not verify that the circuit elements and equipment parts were deenergized: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards associated with working on or near live electrical without having a qualified person test the wiring. The most recent occurrence of this was evident during the inspection of the facility located at 1700 E. Front St. Fremont, NE, where the employer has employees assisting in the removal of electrical conduit and wiring without a qualified person testing the wiring to ensure it is de-energized.
