29 CFR 1910.146(c)(5)(ii)(C): Employees entered into permit spaces that met the conditions set forth in 29 CFR 1910.146(c)(5)(i) but before an employee entered the space, the internal atmosphere was not tested with a calibrated direct-reading instrument: a) Dana Rail Care, Inc. Tank Car Maintenance & Repair Shop and Cleaning Department, Wilmington, DE - On or about 12/6/16 and on prior dates, the employer failed to calibrate ALTAIR Multigas Detectors before each use, in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements for calibration, exposing employees to a potential toxic gas inhalation hazard. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification, required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
