OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that could cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employee(s) were exposed to crushing hazards while operating forklifts without restraint systems: (a) On or about 06-14-2016 and times prior thereto, located at U.S. Postal Service Merrifield Processing and Distribution Center, Employees who operated Toyota Lift Trucks were not required to wear seat belts. This condition was observed on or about June 14, 2016. The United States Postal Service was previously cited for the same violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1102214., citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05-16-16, with respect to a workplace located at U.S. Postal Service Sandston, VA. The United States Postal Service was previously cited for the same violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1048086., citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10-06-15, with respect to a workplace located at U.S. Postal Service Greenville, SC.
