Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: UNAPEQUIP
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)HON-DAH Casino: The mounted elevating and rotating aerial device on the International chassis truck was found to have hydraulic leaks and structural damage. There was no testing performed to verify the equipment was in compliance. ABATEMENT NOTE: AMONG OTHER METHODS, ON FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW ANSI/SIA A92.2 1990. SECTION 8 BY TRAINING EMPLOYEES AND ENSURING FREQUENT INSPECTIONS AND TESTS OF EQUIPMENT ARE CONDUCTED, AND ENSURING THAT UNSAFE ITEMS ARE REPLACED OR REPAIRED BEFORE USE.
