29 CFR 1910.1025(e)(4)(i): When ventilation was used to control exposure, measurements which demonstrate the effectiveness of the system in controlling exposure, such as capture velocity, duct velocity, or static pressure were not made at least every 3 months. Measurements of the system's effectiveness in controlling exposure was not made within 5 days of any change in production, process, or control which might result in a change in employee exposure to lead. a. Kremer's Guns LLC located in Celina, Ohio: The employer did not ensure measurements were taken to ensure the ventilation system was effective in controlling employee exposure to lead while performing the bi-monthly shooting range cleaning. On May 21, 2015, an employee was over exposed to lead at 909 ug/m3 when cleaning the shooting range which exceeded the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3 by 1818%.
