29 CFR 1910.1025(e)(1)(ii): Where any employee is exposed to lead above the permissible exposure limit, but for 30 days or less per year, the employer shall implement engineering controls to reduce exposures to 200 ug/m(3), but thereafter may implement any combination of engineering, work practice (including administrative controls), and respiratory controls to reduce and maintain employee exposure to lead to or below 50 ug/m(3) . a. Kremer's Guns LLC located in Celina, Ohio: The employer did not ensure engineering controls were implemented to reduce employee exposures below 200 ug/m3 when performing bi-monthly cleaning operations in the shooting range. On May 21, 2015, an employee was over exposed to lead at 909 ug/m3 when cleaning the shooting range which exceeded the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3 by 1818%.
