Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 013B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(f)(2): Each service, feeder, and branch circuit, at its disconnecting means or overcurrent device, was not legibly marked to indicate its purpose, nor located and arranged so the purpose was evident: On or about December 12, 2014 and times prior thereto, employees of Mid-America Steel Products, Inc. manufactured trailer parts in a metal corrugated building located at or near 909 C. North Missouri Avenue in Corning, Arkansas. The following electrical systems were observed without legible markings to indicate it's purpose exposing employees to electrical hazards as follows: a) Disconnecting means for branch circuits and feeders were observed along a wall near the welding area and were not marked to indicate its purpose. b) A knife switch disconnect was observed for a branch circuit near the forklift maintenance area and was not marked to indicate its purpose. c) A feeder panel was observed on a wall near the main office. The circuits inside of the panel were not legibly marked to indicate it's purpose. d) A main service panel marked "liting main" and knife switch disconnects were observed were observed along the East wall of the building and were not legibly marked to indicate their purpose.
