Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 006A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above the floor or platform were not enclosed: a) At the recycling facility in Unadilla, GA: On or about November 12, 2014, and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the west-side of pick line chain pulleys were not guarded as workers cleaned debris from surrounding floors, and as supervisors walked by while the line was in operation. Recycling Revolution, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1910.219(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 589260, citation number 1, item number 10 b, and was affirmed as a final order on Feb. 13, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 4190 Collins Road, Unadilla, GA 31091.
