29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: In the following locations, flexible cord was used in lieu of permanent wiring: A. Main Room, Front of Shop: On, or about, November 25, 2014, a two wire clamp-on type light fixture that was used at the Danckaert MAKA mortising machine was energized through an orange extension cord. B. Main Room, Front of Shop: On, or about, November 25, 2014, a two wire light fixture that was provided at the Master disc sander was energized through an extension cord. C. Side Room, Front of Shop: On, or about, December 1, 2014, three overhead fluorescent light fixtures used over machines and workbenches were energized through an extension cord. D. Side Room, Front of Shop: On, or about, December 1, 2014, an extension cord was used to energize the light fixture over Saw #3, a DeWalt radial arm saw, the light over the gang saw and a light fixture that provided general lighting in the work area. E. Upstairs Spray Room: On, or about, December 1, 2014, a porcelain Edison base light fixture had been converted to a receptacle that energized a three way splitter that in turn energized a light fixture, an extension cord that energized a light fixture and another extension cord that energized two light fixtures. F. Main Room, Front of Shop: On, or about, December 1, 2014, an extension cord assembly that included a knockout box designed for permanent mounting was used to energize the General Electric refrigerator and the Cincinnati time clock. G. Main Room, Front of Shop: On, or about, December 1, 2014, a flexible cord was energized by a Federal disconnect that was mounted on the wall near the Saw #2 workbench. The cord was run over nails, tied up to hooks and nails and run through a storage shelf down to three plugs for the CKM jointer, Powermatic table saw and Yuan mortise. H. Back Shop, Storage Loft: On, or about, December 1, 2014, ceiling fans provided for ventilation in the back room were energized through extension cords that were run along the ceiling and wrapped around the building structure.
