29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords were not used in continuous lengths without splice or tape: a) Maintenance Shop, the power cord used to run the air tank is improperly spliced, exposing employees to electrical shock hazard. Dupont Yard, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 931983, citation number 1, item 16b and was affirmed as final order on August 22, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 277 Landmark Rd., Homerville, Georgia. The employer fails to assure that electrical cords are used without splice or tape as required by the standard, as demonstrated on October 21, 2014, when employees were working in the facility at 277 Landmark Road, Homerville, GA 31634, exposed to an electrical hazard resulting from an improperly spliced cord. Dupont Yard, Inc. previously committed a serious violation of this standard on August 19, 2013, with respect to a workplace at 277 Landmark Road, Homerville, GA 31634, which became a final order on August 22, 2014 (Inspection No. 931983).
