29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: Location: 45 Highland Ave, Lowell MA On or about October 5, 2016, the employer did not ensure that employees using nail guns were wearing eye protection. Luis Quindi dba Speedy Gonsales was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1078346, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 30, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 4 Weetamo Way Westford, MA. This violation was most recently observed on October 5, 2016 at a jobsite located at 45 Highland Ave, Lowell, MA 01851 where employees were exposed to flying projectiles without the use of eye protection. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that employees are wearing eye protection while using nail guns.
