29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a) Post Mill #6 Morbark Peeler, the rotating chains and sprocket wheels are not guarded, exposing employees to caught-in, crushing, and amputation hazards. Dupont Yard, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 931983, citation number 2, item 002 and was affirmed as final order August 22, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 277 Landmark Road., Homerville, Georgia. The employer fails to assure that employees are protected from rotating chains and sprocket wheels, as demonstrated on October 21, 2014, when employees were working in the facility at 277 Landmark Road, Homerville, GA 31634, exposed to amputation hazards resulting from unguarded chains and sprocket wheels. Dupont Yard, Inc. previously committed a willful violation of this standard on August 19, 2013, with respect to a workplace at 277 Landmark Road, Homerville, GA 31634, which became a final order on August 22, 2014 (Inspection No. 931983).
