29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service: On or about February 24, 2017, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were operating a Powered Industrial Truck(s), which had not been inspected in accordance with the manufacturers pre-operational checklist/operators manual prior to being placed in service each shift), and for which the seat belts and reverse alarms were known to have been defective, therefore exposing the vehicle operator and the warehouse/plant employees to vehicle in-motion/struck-by hazards, and to steel storage rack struck-by/caught-under hazards. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
