29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a) Forklift battery charging; On or about June 13, 2017 and times prior: The employer failed to ensure employees filling forklift batteries with a water hose wore protective equipment such as goggles or face shied in addition to their safety glasses which exposed them tot he hazards associated with battery acid splash into the eyes.
