29 CFR 1915.56(e): Arc welding and cutting operations were not shielded by noncombustible or flameproof screens to protect employees in the vicinity from the direct rays of the arc: a. On or about January 21, 2018, in the middle of the fabrication shop at the welding tables, employees adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear goggles or were not protected from the rays by screens, exposing the employees adjacent to the tables to flash burns.
