29 CFR 1910.120(q)(2)(ix): The emergency response plan did not address, to the extent not addressed elsewhere, emergency alerting and response procedures: a) Ammonia refrigeration system: Employees working as ammonia refrigeration Mechanics are required to respond to ammonia releases at the facility. The employer's emergency response plan did not address response procedures such as, but not limited to, the required action needed based on the extent and location of a release, on or about 4/10/19. b) Ammonia refrigeration system: The emergency response plan did not address alerting procedures for an ammonia release that distinguished between evacuation of the facility and sheltering in place, on or about 4/10/19. c) Ammonia refrigeration system: The emergency response plan did not address procedures for sheltering in place during an ammonia release, including, but not limited to, provisions to protect the area from intrusion of ammonia vapors and means of communicating with the facility emergency coordinator, on or about 4/10/19. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
