29 CFR 1910.120(q)(2)(iv): The emergency response plan did not address, to the extent not addressed elsewhere, safe distances and places of refuge: a) Ammonia refrigeration system: The emergency response plan developed by the employer allowed for employees to shelter in place during an ammonia release. The plan did not include procedures for sheltering in place, such as, but not limited to, where to shelter in place, and when to shelter in place, on or about 3/28/19. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
