29 CFR 1926.1416(b): Operations must not begin unless the operational aids are in proper working order, except where an operational aid is being repaired the employer uses the specified temporary alternative measures. The time periods permitted for repairing defective operational aids are specified in paragraphs (d) and (e) of this section: On or about 6/3/2014, At the job site: A Grove TMS875C Hydraulic Truck Crane was in use without its computer being calibrated. There was no boom length indicator or boom angle indicator in place other than the computer. Abatement certification is required for this item.
