29 CFR 1926.350(a)(9): Compressed gas cylinders were not secured in an upright position at all times, accept, if necessary, for short periods of time while cylinders are actually being hoisted or carried: a) A compressed gas Oxygen cylinder was standing unsecured in the work area; employer was constructing a steel tank on site in the tank house on the roof of a building. Employees were exposed to fire/explosion hazard or struck by the tank if it tips over. Location: 519 8th Ave, New York, N.Y. On or about 2/27/2017 NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
