29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(3)(i): Before work in areas containing ACM and PACM was begun; the employers did not identify the presence, location, and quantity of ACM, and/or PACM therein pursuant to paragraph (k)(1) of this section: a) Loading Dock Area - During the course of the inspection, electricians drilled through ceiling beams covered in sprayed on fire proofing which contained asbestos, to install wiring for security cameras. The employer did not conduct a survey to determine the presence, location, and quantity of asbestos containing material in this area. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
