29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. a) Site - On or about 06/09/18 and at times prior thereto employees engaged in roofing work utilized ladders to access sloped roofs and came in close proximity of uninsulated sections of electrical lines. The employer did not develop, implement, and enforce a training program that would enable employees to recognize and eliminate hazards associated with the use of ladders. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
