29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access: (a) 413-415 So Elm St Holyoke, MA; On or about July 31, 2013, two employees were observed climbing down an extension ladder that did not extend the 3 FT past the landing surface as required by this subpart: Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
