Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Mechanical execution of work. Electric equipment shall be installed in a neat and workmanlike manner. There shall be no damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating: The employer is exposing employees to electrical shock hazards while working with electric powered tools in the finishing area. This was most recently observed at 802 Allied Road, Bellevue, Nebraska on May 3, 2018 when 2 electrical junction boxes were observed with a damaged/crushed outer housing that did not provide structural security or prevent entry of rain water, exposing employees to electrical shock hazards.
