29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section. The employer does not provide employees with written energy control procedures for conducting lockout/tagout activities. This violation was observed on or about January 15, 2013, in the Robotics Area, Thermal Spray Coatings where employees were exposed to electrical, caught-between and struck-by hazards while performing service and/or maintenance on machines or equipment without written procedures. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within then (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the energy control program includes written specific energy control procedures to ensure employees performing any servicing or maintenance on a machine where stored energy is found is protected.
