29 CFR 1910.30(a)(3): In that an employee had not been trained in the nature and recognition of fall hazards in the work area; the procedures to minimize those fall hazards; the correct procedures for installing, inspecting, operating, maintaining, and disassembling the personal fall protection systems that the employee uses; the correct use of personal fall protection systems and equipment. a) CVN -73: On or about 08/19/2019, an employee transitioned through voids ranging from approximately 20-40 feet in height without fall protection or training. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
