1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." An employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about June 8th, 2015 and at times prior employees were exposed up to a 30 foot fall hazard while installing wood fascia on a 6/12 pitch roof without the benefit of fall protection next to an unprotected edge of a multi-story complex in the vicinity of 3000 12th Avenue NW in Mandan, ND.
