Abstract: Workers completing work on an expansion facility at an existing production site were applying a urethane coating to the facility's floor. Xylene vapors from the urethane coating migrated from the expansion facility to another building where Employees #1 through #10, production workers, began to experience symptoms typical of solvent exposure. Employee #1, who was suffering chest pains, was held overnight at a hospital for observation. Employees #2 through #10 were given oxygen therapy and released.
