29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: a) In the facility, on or about July 22, 2013 - The employer did not conduct initial hazard communication training with affected employees. Employees used chemical solvents such as but not limited to: KCI, a corrosive, which contained dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride; Kay 5 ,which contained sodium carbonate; OASIS 146, which contained benzalkonium chloride and alcohol; and Dip it XP, a corrosive powder which contained sodium carbonate and sodium metasilicate during housekeeping tasks.
