29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required material safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they are readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they are in their work area(s): a) In the facility, on or about July 22, 2013 - The employer did not maintain any of the safety data sheets for the hazardous chemical solvents employees used on site. Employees used chemical solvents such as but not limited to: KCI, a corrosive, which contained dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride; Kay 5 ,which contained sodium carbonate; OASIS 146, which contained benzalkonium chloride and alcohol; and Dip it XP, a corrosive powder which contained sodium carbonate and sodium metasilicate during housekeeping tasks.
