29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(v): Employees exposed to the danger of injury to the eyes or face from electric arcs or flashes or from flying objects resulting from electrical explosion did not wear protective equipment for the eyes or face: (a) Employees performed voltage measurements on energized components up to 480v. An arc-rated face shield was not worn (in addition to safety glasses/goggles) to protect the eyes and face from electric arcs or flashes or from flying debris. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 1903.19(c).
