29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent amputation hazards as demonstrated on or about August 23, 2023, in the Sawmill at the chipper, where an employee engages in maintenance activities such as, but not limited to, clearing jams and changing belts. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that employees engaged in lockout/tagout activities are trained in energy control as authorized employees.
