Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004C Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(ii): The top edge height on all suspended scaffolds where both a guardrail and a personal fall arrest system were not between 36 inches (0.9 m) and 45 inches (1.2 m) above the platform surface Note: For supported scaffolds manufactured and placed in service before January 1, 2000, and on all suspended scaffolds where both a guardrail and a personal fall arrest system are required, the top edge height should be between 36 inches (0.9 m) and 45. On or about May 20, 2023, an employee used the guardrail and toeboard of a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) to elevate the working level height. This brought the employee above the guardrail system, exposing the employee to a fall hazard.
