29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers is not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it is stable and secure against sliding and collapse: a) Dollar General Store #9882 located at 42165 Alabama 195, Haleyville, AL 35565: The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent a struck-by hazard, as demonstrated on or about November 10, 2022, in the back storage/receiving room, where boxes and merchandise are stored in an unstable unsecure manner to prevent it from falling onto or in the path of employees. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure boxed merchandise that is in storage is arranged in a stable manner to prevent it from falling onto or in the path of employees. Dolgencorp, LLC dba Dollar General Store 7196 was previously cited for a repeat-serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1535419, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 04, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 5129 Cottage Hill Road, Mobile, AL DG Retail, LLC dba Dollar General was previously cited for a repeat-other violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1450479, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on April 8, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1111 N Cole Street, Bushnell, IL.
