29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii):Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: a) Facility: On or about August 30 2022, and at times prior, employees were exposed to chemical hazards, in that the employer did not ensure employees were trained to protect themselves from hazardous chemicals in an event of an emergency procedure. A chemical spill containing ZePride-E (41099) and Door San (236299) occurred on August 30, 2022, which resulted in employee hospitalizations, were employees suffered chemical burns to the throat and lungs.
